Terra Who?

Hi, I’m Terra!
Which means Earth… and I carry that meaning deep in my bones.

I am a mother, a bridge-builder, a caregiver, a cultural translator, and a sacred disruptor. I don’t lead from a podium…I lead from the pantry, the PTA table, the grief circle, and the group chat.
I believe in feeding people - souls, systems, bellies, and movements.

My advocacy wasn’t born in a boardroom. It was born in the slow, sacred spaces where systems fail and people still show up. I’ve been the daughter in the hospital hallway with legal paperwork in one hand and tears in the other. I’ve been the mom organizing food pantries between therapy appointments and school drop-offs. I’ve been the voice in the meeting who dares to ask, “But who’s not at this table… and why?”

I come from women named Rose and Rosemary - storytellers, strugglers, survivors. They taught me that love is both balm and burden. That grief can become gospel. That laughter is holy, and rage is sacred when it protects the vulnerable.

Some call me a strategist. A mentor. A matchmaker.
But the titles I care most about are:
💛 Truth Teller.
💛 Table Setter.
💛 Community Tether.

I don’t build movements for attention… I build them for belonging.
And I don’t flip tables for fun. I flip them because silence was never safety, and systems don’t dismantle themselves.

I am Terra.
Not the hero.
Not the headline.
Just the human who refuses to look away when something needs tending.

Welcome to this space.
Welcome to the work.
Welcome home

A mother, mental health advocate, and community connector based in Bothell, Washington. For over a decade, I’ve dedicated myself to making essential resources more accessible, believing that seeking help should be as straightforward as finding a favorite local spot. Whether it's education, food security, housing, or healthcare, I strive to bridge gaps and build supportive networks.

My approach is rooted in storytelling, gratitude, and the healing power of shared experiences. I find solace in journaling, music, and the everyday magic of raising two incredible kids with my husband. Life has taught me resilience through navigating grief, trauma, and the complexities of generational healing. Each day, I commit to growth, compassion, and the belief that our voices can spark meaningful change.

Terra What?

TerraMindfulness isn’t just a website.
It’s a breathing room.
A resting place.
A rebel altar.
A quiet revolution built from broken teacups, kitchen counters, and community circles.

Mindfulness, here, isn’t a product or a performance.
It’s presence.
It’s pausing long enough to hear your own heartbeat—and honoring whatever truth it carries.

At its core, mindfulness is a way of noticing—not just what’s outside of us, but what’s happening within.
It’s the art of staying, even when things are messy.
It’s meeting this moment—grief, joy, confusion, curiosity—with honesty and breath.

For me, mindfulness takes shape in three sacred practices:

✍️ Writing

Writing is my daily prayer and protest.
It’s where I metabolize memory, grief, advocacy, and awe.
When I write, I’m not trying to be perfect—I’m trying to be real.
To name the unnamed.
To let the page hold what my body can’t always carry.

Writing, for me, is mindfulness in motion.
It’s my therapy. My ritual. My resistance.
It helps me notice patterns, release pressure, and stitch myself back together—one metaphor at a time.

It’s not about finding the right words.
It’s about letting the true ones rise.

🧘 Stillness (Even the Imperfect Kind)

Sometimes mindfulness looks like a quiet walk under the trees.
Sometimes it looks like breathwork in my car before another hard meeting.
Sometimes it’s just three deep inhales between emails.

Meditation doesn’t always happen on a cushion.
Sometimes it’s in the messy middle of life—between caregiving and caretaking, between loss and legacy.
Mindfulness gives me the pause I need to respond, not just react.
It helps me stay human in a world that moves too fast and asks too much.

🤝 Connection

This is the one they don’t always include in mindfulness apps—but for me, it’s everything.

Talking with people, really talking, is a mindfulness practice.
When we gather around stories, questions, meals, grief, laughter, or hard truths—we come alive.

Conversation can be sacred.
Community can be medicine.

When someone feels seen, when someone says, “You too?”—that’s mindfulness.
It’s presence with each other, not just with ourselves.
And let’s be honest: healing rarely happens in isolation.
It happens in the messy beauty of community, of co-regulation, of co-dreaming.

So, what is TerraMindfulness?

It’s a space where mindfulness is messy and meaningful.
Where writing is both a wound and a balm.
Where grief sits at the table next to joy.
Where connection isn’t a luxury—it’s the lifeline.

This is a place for those who are brave enough to be tender, tired, and still trying.
For those who want to speak up, not when they’re ready—but because they’re real.

You don’t have to be a meditation expert.
You just have to be human.

Welcome to the practice.
Welcome to the presence.
Welcome to what we build together.

This place is a sanctuary for reflection, connection, and empowerment. It’s a space where mindfulness intertwines with advocacy, and personal narratives become catalysts for communal healing.

My mindfulness practice is anchored in three pillars:

  • Writing: Through poetry and prose, I explore the depths of human experience, offering words that resonate and inspire.

  • Meditation: Guided reflections and meditative practices provide tools for grounding, clarity, and inner peace.

  • Connection: Engaging with others through workshops, discussions, and community events fosters a collective journey toward understanding and transformation.

These practices have empowered me to speak up in brave spaces, to use my voice as a force for good, and to encourage others to do the same. At TerraMindfulness.org, you'll find resources to support your own journey—be it through reading, listening, or participating in community offerings.

It all begins with an idea.

Unmute. Amplify. Defy the Noise.
